GEN II Warranty Info: August 2024
The design of the Gen II circuit board is susceptible to breaking at the area circled in red in the first photo. Over the past 6 months or so, we began adding adhesive to bond this area and protect it from vibration. That fix worked well, so we made a revision to the circuit board design that we’re calling Gen II V2, with a through-hole connection between the two circuit boards, and we are still adding adhesive.
If you have a Gen II that has this failure (3 or 4 red LED’s after turning the unit on), this is the issue with the unit. We will replace any units with this issue free of chard outside of the warranty period.

The clip below shows the issue caused by the damaged connection between the two circuit boards inside the Gen II unit:
The fix to this issue is a re-desinged connection between the main circuit board (the one with the LED’s on it) and the smaller circuit board that includes the GPS antenna and USB-C charging port.
Damaged Gen II Circuit Board
The red circle shows the old design where it could break and cause the four red light failure shown in the video. This became a fairly common occurance.
Updated Gen II V2 Design
This picture shows the through-hole style connection between the two boards. This creates a much stronger solder and makes the solder failure seen previous extremely unlikely. After the circuit boards are soldered, a bonding agent is applied to protect them from vibration in the enclosure.
